Workouts that Burn More Calories than Running

Burn More Calories than running

Burn More Calories than runningOne of the most important things you can do to lose weight is burn more calories. When you work out, you are increasing the amount of calories that you burn each day so that you can look and feel amazing. Most professionals will tell you to go out running in order to burn more calories, but running just isn’t something that a lot of people like to do. The following are some other activities you can do outside of running in order to burn a lot of calories and stay fit.

Kettlebell Swing
This exercise is going to work all of the big muscles that are near the quads and glutes while also sending the heart up to speed. This works well because your body is just not used to this movement, so it causes you to work a bit harder and the heart to pump a bit faster.

Indoor Rowing
You can burn more calories with a rowing machine compared to running and a lot of other activities. You will be working on the arms as well as the back and the legs in order to do this correctly. Since you are using so many different muscle groups, this is a good workout if you want to work on the whole body in a short amount of time.

The faster you are able to do these, the more calories you can burn. To get the best burn, you should try to do about 10 of these each minute. Doing it at least this fast can burn as many calories as doing a fast bike sprint or running really fast in the same amount of time. Even if you are not able to do these for very long, splitting up the burpees in your workout can really increase the burn.

Bike Sprints
With this kind of workout, you will work hard while the bike increases the resistance. Each time you go faster, there will be a bit more resistance. You need to give as much as you can during this time for a whole minute to see results.

Jumping Rope
In order to burn more calories, go and get that elementary school jump rope. You can burn almost 13 calories each minute. You will need to work on coordination and balance to get this workout to go right and over time you can add in some twists and turns that make it an even better workout than before.
